Who is the Ex-Libris Huntress?

Hi, I'm Mary Komatsu
Nice to meet!
My name is Mary Komatsu, the creator and administrator of the Ex-libris Hunter channel. I am a librarian and worked at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro from 1986 to 2019. I work as a collaborator in the Network of Libraries and Information Centers in Art - REDARTE/RJ. Among other things I appreciate arts, culture, books, social networks and I love photography and I am passionate about libraries and museums. When I curated the virtual narrative on Ex-libris entitled " Dos Livros: Ex-libris in the MNBA collections" for the MNBA's Google Art Project, I was enchanted by the ex-libris. From there, I began to work intensively with books that had this mark of provenance in the library and to research more on the subject. Participated in the Project The Eloquence of Books: Marks of Bibliographic Provenance registered at the Department of Librarianship of UNIRIO and linked to the Research Group "Studies on Bibliographic Heritage" (2018-2020), under the coordination of Prof. Dr Fabiano Cataldo.
And that's me, the Ex-libris Hunter!
The purpose of this channel is to disseminate, collaborate and share this universe of small works of art that are in libraries, museums and collectors. of art.
